Who We Are

We are geographers and geospatial analysts with a deep respect for place and the relationships between land, water, and people. Our work integrates spatial analysis, mapping, and social science to support planning, stewardship, and decision-making across diverse contexts.

With experience spanning cultural geography, environmental research, coastal and freshwater systems, habitat restoration, and data-driven analysis, we focus on understanding how human activity interacts with complex ecosystems.

At the core of our work is a commitment to asking meaningful, often challenging questions - those that matter most to communities, organizations, and the environments they care for.

Dexter Robson

I hold a Masters degree in Geography from the University of Victoria and an advanced drone pilot RPAS license. For nearly a decade, I have worked closely with Indigenous communities all over British Columbia as a Cultural Geographer, Social Science Researcher and Mapping Specialist. I have also worked in stream and salmon habitat enhancement, parks and protected area planning, environmental data collection and management, aboriginal title and rights research, and video storytelling. Simply put, I enjoy identifying and answering hard to answer questions

Leh Smallshaw

I’ve been fortunate to call the Gulf Islands home for much of my life, an experience that sparked a lasting appreciation for place and led me to pursue a BSc in Geography at the University of Victoria. My work as a geospatial analyst has consistently focused on water and coastal systems, from cetacean conservation and wetland mapping to analyzing the impacts of vessel traffic in the Salish Sea. I bring a spatial, data-driven approach to understanding how human activity intersects the environments around us.
